Hayden Rourke Tompkins

The passing of Rourke Tompkins of Upper Kingsclear, N.B. occurred suddenly but peacefully on Friday, February 7, 2025 at York Care Center. He was 54 years old. Born on June 30th, 1970 here in Fredericton, he was the son of Elaine (Hayden) Tompkins and the late Roy Ashley Tompkins.

Rourke was a humorous person who loved to make people laugh with an infectious smile. His biggest passions lied in hunting, four-wheeling and fishing as well as listening to rock and roll.

He is survived by his mother Elaine (Hayden) Tompkins; two loving children Hunter Tompkins (Belle) and Samantha Thibodeau-Tompkins (Nicholas), his brother Glen Tompkins, as well as his nieces, nephew and great nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his father Roy Ashley Tompkins in 2011 and sister Vickie E. Tompkins-Murray in 1999. 

The family would like to give special thanks to South Hampton house and 4SE at the DECH for all of their gracious support with Rourke’s care over the years.

The family will be holding a grave side service and celebration of life, this spring, date to be determined.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Stan Cassidy Center for Rehabilitation or Donor’s Choice.”
